Nature’s News: Our Team in Training with Local Conservation Partners

This past February, we announced new partnerships with several local conservation organisations in the communities we serve. These partnerships were made in association with our efforts to reduce the use of single-use plastic bags in-store.

They include Burlington Green in Burlington, the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority in Newmarket, and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority in Vaughan.

Since then, we’ve had the opportunity to take part in some exciting events alongside them – including the annual Clean Up, Green Up event put on by Burlington Green, which saw 500 new trees planted in Burlington’s Tuck Park.

We’ve also taken the opportunity to educate our team about the vital roles these organisations play in the community, while to learning how we can all help do the heavy lifting.

The photos below highlight team training events that recently took place at all three Nature’s Emporium locations.

We’d like to offer a special thanks to the representatives from each organisation who came out to help enlighten our team. We all left feeling super inspired to make a positive change both in-store and beyond.
