Treat dad to a healthier version of the classic steak and cheese sandwich. It’s dairy free, meatless and certified dad-approved.

  • Bread/Bun of Choice (We used “Ozery Bakery” One Bun Hotdog Buns)
  • 1 Pack King’s Café “Double Happiness” (350g)
  • 1 Pack Organic Crimini Mushrooms (227g) (Thinly Sliced)
  • 1 Large Organic Red Bell Pepper (Julienne)
  • 1 Large Organic Onion (Sliced)
  • Sea Salt (To Taste)
  • Black Pepper to Taste (To Taste)
  • “Mr. Spice” Organic Garlic Steak Sauce (To Taste)
“Cheese” Sauce:
  • 1 Medium Organic Yellow Potato (Boiled & Peeled)
  • ½ Large Organic Carrot (Boiled)
  • 2 tbsp Avocado Oil
  • ¼ Cup Almond Milk (Unsweetened)
  • 1 tbsp Brown Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Arrowroot Flour
  • 2 tbsp Nutritional Yeast
  • ½ tsp Onion Powder
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp Paprika
  • Sea Salt (To Taste)
  • Black Pepper (To Taste)
  1. For the cheese sauce, combine all of the ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth and set aside.
  2. In a large sauté pan, over medium heat, cook your peppers, onions and mushrooms for 8-10 minutes. Season to taste with salt, pepper and steak sauce.
  3. In a separate pan, over medium heat cook the “double happiness” for 8-10 minutes and season to taste with steak sauce.
  4. To assemble the sandwiches, place a desired amount of veggies, double happiness and cheese sauce in your bun and enjoy warm!
